Debtequity · Capabilities

Defined capability across structured capital, governance and execution.

Debtequity operates in selected situations where structure, mandate clarity and governance materially affect outcome.

Our role is not to force situations into generic products. It is to assess what is commercially sound, what must be protected, and what structure is required for a pathway to stand up under scrutiny.

Overview

Capability follows mandate, not the other way around.

Debtequity works across a defined range of private market situations involving structured capital, wholesale investment management, governance-led execution, recapitalisation and real asset pathways. Each engagement is assessed on its own merits, with particular attention to downside, role clarity, enforceability and decision integrity.

Not every situation should be financed, promoted or pursued. We prefer mandates where the capital requirement, control framework, security position and exit logic can be understood clearly from the outset.
Core Capabilities

Principal capability areas.

The following capability areas reflect where Debtequity is typically engaged.

Structured Capital

Capital architecture across debt, equity, quasi-equity and special situation structures where role allocation, control, sequencing and downside protection matter.

Wholesale Investment Management

Defined investment management activity across wholesale-only pathways where documentation, approvals, governance and execution discipline are required from the outset.

Private Credit

Senior secured and otherwise risk-bounded instruments with ranking clarity, covenant controls, enforceable documentation and visible downside protections.

Property-Backed Mandates

Land, planning, development and real asset situations where scope boundaries, valuation discipline, security position and exit logic must be defined early.

Enterprise Recapitalisation

Capital stack review and restructuring support for businesses facing refinancing pressure, transition, acquisition or balance sheet complexity.

Board-Level Capital & Governance Engagement

Principal-led commercial involvement where governance, decision rights, risk allocation and execution discipline require board-grade clarity.

Real Assets & Property

Property capability where sequencing and structure matter.

Debtequity’s property-related work is generally tied to situations where the asset, planning pathway, title position, security structure and capital sequencing need to be understood in an integrated way.

Land Aggregation & Planning-Led Value Creation

Mandate-defined pathways involving site control, planning uplift, milestone logic, approval strategy and monetisation sequencing.

Development Capital Structuring

Facility architecture, intercreditor positioning, vendor finance integration, security logic and exit-defined deployment frameworks.

Commercial Real Estate Credit Structures

Structured property-backed facilities with ranking clarity, covenant discipline, enforceable security and realistic servicing sensitivity analysis.

Operational Real Asset Acquisition

Senior debt, vendor support and acquisition structuring designed around realistic cashflow, downside cases and operational control.

Special Situations

Situations requiring more than a conventional process.

Some mandates sit outside ordinary lending, advisory or capital-raising workflows. These situations typically require clearer downside discipline, bespoke document architecture and more careful stakeholder alignment.

Capability

Deferred Consideration & Vendor Finance

Priority-aware note and deed structures separating creditor protections, release mechanics and economic participation.

Capability

Balance Sheet Repair

Restructuring pathways intended to improve resilience, role clarity and long-term financeability.

Capability

Stakeholder Alignment & Governance Reset

Clarifying rights, obligations, approval pathways, decision gates and reporting expectations before capital is deployed.

Capability

Wholesale Platform Readiness

Controlled documentation, disclosure boundary setting and committee-ready governance packs for wholesale-only pathways.

Operating Discipline

How capability is applied matters as much as the capability itself.

We prefer to work where the mandate can be scoped properly, where the structure can be defended, and where reporting, approvals and oversight are aligned to the real risk in the transaction.

Solvency First

We prefer structures that improve resilience, liquidity clarity and downside protection before pursuing upside narratives.

Role Clarity

Every relevant party should understand its role, rights, responsibilities and exposure from the outset.

Governance Integrity

Mandates should be capable of standing up to scrutiny from trustees, lenders, lawyers, accountants and careful counterparties.

Next Step

Discuss a capability fit.

If your situation requires disciplined capital structuring, governance-led execution or a more controlled wholesale-only pathway, we welcome a confidential discussion.
